In continuing the series that began yesterday, it’s time to discuss all of the end of the season awards that will be named soon and discussing who should and eventually who will take the honors. As with yesterday’s look at the defensive player of the year, today we will focus on the most valuable player of the year award by first taking a look at the candidates and their accolades for the 2012 campaign.
Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots
Just like every other healthy season for the past decade, Tom Brady is going to end up as a finalist for this category. This season, which was one of the best in his career, you heard very little buzz about him because this type of season has become expected from him. But at 35 years old, he threw for 4,827 yards and 34 touchdowns against only eight interceptions. And this was even with a good running game finally.
