Well, you asked for it Browns fans, and now it is here. Head Coach Rob Chudzinski has formally announced that he will turn the ball over to Jason Campbell this week in Kansas City against the Chiefs and their #1 ranked defense. Campbell, the 31-year old veteran, will be the third different Brown to start at QB this season, joining Brian Hoyer and the now twice benched Brandon Weeden. According to Chudzinski, the QB position will continue to be evaluated week to week going forward, which leaves the door open for a return of Weeden if Campbell should fail. Chud also dropped the “gives us the best chance to win” card when talking about his decision to make the switch to Campbell. The former first round pick of the Washington Redskins in 2005 is 31-40 as a starter. His last start came for Chicago last season on a Monday night in San Francisco. It was not Campbell’s best showing as his team was destroyed 32-7 and he went 14-22 for just 107 yards, one TD, two INTs, while being sacked six times. Campbell will become the 20th different player to start at Quarterback for the Browns since 1999, a number that is staggering.
