Let’s have some fun and do some NFL picks. I am by no means an expert so these are just some fun picks to spark debate. Atlanta vs. Giants – The Giants are a 3-point favorite. When you combine the pass rush, Eli Manning, and the fact they will be playing at MetLife Stadium, the Giants should take this game. Matt Ryan has a bad postseason resume and Michael Turner has a tendency to be feast or famine. Giants cover the spread and win 25-20. Detroit vs. New Orleans – The over/under is 59 and I would take that. The eleven points given to Detroit won’t be enough, but I expect an exciting shootout in the 45-31 range. The Saints will get up big early and although Detroit will make a comeback they will never seriously threaten. Pittsburgh vs. Denver – I am personally rooting for Tim Tebow because a playoff win will rankle the mainstream media. The Steelers are favored by 9-points, but I would pick the Broncos against the spread because their defense will keep them close. I do, however think...

Giants will go to the Super Bowl but can Eli Show Up Peyton?

Go ahead and laugh but the New York Giants are going to the Super Bowl and remember where you heard it first. The Giants began their 2011 regular season decimated with injuries.  Their running game never got on track and without a doubt they played one of the toughest schedules in the league.  Under those circumstances, most teams would have eventually folded and turned their...

You can't spell elite without ELI!

When the 2007 Giants made their Super Bowl run, it became a bit of a running gag to ask veteran center Shaun O'Hara about Eli Manning. Each week the Giants would win another playoff game, each week Manning would play better, and each week reporters would flock to O'Hara to ask about the "development," "maturity" and "progress" that the young...

Giants can lean on backs if Falcons ground Manning

If Eli Manning has to carry the Giants on Sunday, or for however long this playoff experience lasts, he can do it. So says his head coach. “Without a doubt he’s up to that challenge,’’ Tom Coughlin said, “or any challenge.’’ Manning putting the ball in the air and...
