Roddy White has a big mouth as part of the Atlanta Falcons’ offense. At times, he can get quite offensive himself, in more his words than his actions, but White has not learned when to stop talking. If he is seeking advice, now may be a good time. White often takes his trash talking to Twitter. In fact, I am actually a fan, as he has given me plenty to write about through the years. I used to cover the Falcons for various websites before finding a home here at The Pigskin Report, so I am quite familiar with his work. So trust me, Roddy, when I tell, it is time to stop talking for a while. Yesterday, the Falcons lose their first game of the 2012 NFL season, making the 1972 Miami Dolphins very happy. After talking throughout the week about how much he hated the Saints, New Orleans and everything else under the sun, White came out and had a pretty big game. Well, at least a pretty big first half. Bu in the end, it was not enough, and the resilient Saints were able to fight back and kno...

We’ve covered it routinely (here and here for example), the Saints are a fantasy matchup worth stacking up against and this week is no different. Its hard to anticipate top 5 numbers from teammates because there are only so many passing yards to go around but if anyone can do it its Roddy White and Julio Jones...

Michael Turner's lost season

Full disclosure: I own Michael Smith on my only fantasy football team. More on that later, but at least you know that.Prior to the NFL season getting underway, I read the Falcons were going to move to a more uptempo style offense. I thought, why not? Matt Ryan is one of the good young quarterbacks in the league, and has a arsenal of weapons at his disposal. Julio Jones, Roddy White...

Check out this video of the former “Webster” star and Falcons Linebacker Stephen Nicholas having a dance battle at the team’s 8th annual Celebrity FootBowl Tournament.     How very “You Got Served.” The [...]

Falcons say bad tackling limited to one play

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. In their 31-27 loss to New Orleans on Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons allowed 148 yards rushing, marking the fourth time this season they have yielded at least that many. All of it begs the question: Are the Falcons a poor tackling team or did they just have a bad day? Falcons head coach Mike Smith seemed to settle on the idea that it came down to one play gone...

Tony Gonzalez, Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham Making Headway Into List of Top 10 Tight Ends in NFL History (Photos)

When Tony Gonzalez reeled in his 100th career touchdown catch Sunday, the feat was notable for several reasons, one of the biggest being how inevitable it seemed. Gonzalez has been dominating the NFL from the tight end position for more than a decade now, and it makes sense that he’d not only cross the 100-touchdown barrier but also put himself alongside just five others on the...
