Being an NFL fan you will obviously be well aware of the way in which betting on teams in engrained into the sport. The gambling industry has been one of many to be impacted by the rise and rise of the internet over the past few years, in both of the main fields, casinos and sports betting. So, what has gone wrong for them? Most people seem to be blaming the head coach Norv Turner, and certainly much of the blame does reside in his camp. It seems that his days as coach are numbered, and if he survives till the end of the season then it is likely to be his last. He joined as coach in 2007 but didn’t get off to a great start. He lost three of his first four games but followed that by winning 41-3 away to the Denver Broncos then beating Oakland and the Houston Texans. However after that things took a turn for the worse though some serious thinking turned things around and there followed a string of victories culminating in their first playoff win since 1994. They made the playoffs in 2008 and 2009 after which Turner extended his contract to 2013. So, should you bet on Turner being fired? Certainly it seems that the odds on him being fired are fluctuating wildly. Many Chargers fans think that he should have been fired already. A recent poll showed that 77 percent of fans think that he should be fired immediately, around 18 percent think that he should be fired at the end of the season and around 3 percent don’t think that he should be fired at all. Currently you can get odds of 5/4 that he will be fired before the end of the season and evens on him being fired after the regular season.
