Being an NFL fan you will obviously be well aware of the way in which betting on teams in engrained into the sport. The gambling industry has been one of many to be impacted by the rise and rise of the internet over the past few years, in both of the main fields, casinos and sports betting. There has been a huge influx of both – online casinos such as JackpotCity have been springing up all over the place and now the people who enjoy a run on the slots or a game of poker or blackjack can do so right from their phone at any time. Likewise, fans of sports betting can do the same which has been a big advantage – now bets can be placed at the last minute of the game or at half-time for any expected turnarounds. If you are a San Diego Chargers fan then you have our sympathies. It has been a pretty dire season for them and if you are still betting on them then really you might be better advised to spend your money at one of the online casinos; this season they are just going backwards and at a rapidly increasing rate. So, what has gone wrong for them? Most people seem to be blaming the head coach Norv Turner, and certainly much of the blame does reside in his camp. It seems that his days as coach are numbered, and if he survives till the end of the season then it is likely to be his last. He joined as coach in 2007 but didn’t get off to a great start. He lost three of his first four games but followed that by winning 41-3 away to the Denver Broncos then beating Oakland and the Houston Texans. However after that things took a turn for the worse though some serious thinking turned things around and there followed a string of victories culminating in their first playoff win since 1994. They made the playoffs in 2008 and 2009 after which Turner extended his contract to 2013. So, should you bet on Turner being fired? Certainly it seems that the odds on him being fired are fluctuating wildly. Many Chargers fans think that he should have been fired already. A recent poll showed that 77 percent of fans think that he should be fired immediately, around 18 percent think that he should be fired at the end of the season and around 3 percent don’t think that he should be fired at all. Currently you can get odds of 5/4 that he will be fired before the end of the season and evens on him being fired after the regular season. If you think that he will survive until the 2013 season, then you can get odds of 3/1 that he will still be the head coach in the opening game of 2013. –> addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fcuzoogle.com%2F2012%2F12%2F11%2Fnfl-sports-betting-on-san-diego-chargers%2F'; addthis_title = 'NFL+Sports+betting+on+San+Diego+Chargers'; addthis_pub = '';
