The Oregon Ducks are the most fashion-forward college team, making news for their flashy uniforms as often as their style of play. But the players are not the only ones who work to maintain the school’s status as a sartorial standout. Fan fashions are getting an upgrade of their own. Specially designed tees with team colors and quirky phrases often dominate student section apparel, but that’s not enough for Oregon. As the Ducks prepare for the start of college basketball season, Nike has prepared special footwear for fans.

The school recently announced that the first Midnight Madness event on October 14th will introduce the Limited Edition Pit Crew Air Jordan 3. The Pit Crew, the loudest group of Oregon basketball fans at Matthew Knight arena, will now have school-spirited footwear to compliment their bright yellow tees. Ten pairs of the custom kicks will be given away to fans in attendance, as reported by ESPN. While it’s not a significant number of sneakers just yet, it wouldn’t be surprising to see additional pairs released throughout the season.

The Nike shoes feature a black leather base with gray and bright yellow accents, including an “O” on the tongue and a gray and black crackle design at the front and back of the shoes. Additional details include an embroidered wing logo and the words “Pit Crew” on each side of the sneakers. Check them out below. What do you think?
