The Flyers–Senators brawl was a line brawl that occurred during a National Hockey League game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Ottawa Senators on March 5, 2004. The two team's combined penalty minutes, 419, were the most in a single game in the history of the league. The game was played at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S., which is the home arena of the Flyers.

Flyers defenseman Andrej Meszaros, who has been sidelined since Jan. 24 with a separated shoulder, appears to be finally close to being ready to play. There is a chance he could be in the lineup tomorrow night when the Flyers play the Rangers. More will be known after practice today.
Prior to suffering the shoulder injury, Meszaros was playing surprisingly well over his first...
Yikes. This photo was found on Gongshow Hockey Gear’s Facebook Page and presumably came from Tye McGinn himself. The Philadelphia Flyers rookie fought Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mike Brown on February 25th and clearly got the worst of it. McGinn knocked Brown early during the fight, but once Brown got back up, it was all over for McGinn. His jersey was ripped and his...

I’m not sure what the Rangers’ Marc Staal ever did to the Flyers’ Kimmo Timonen, but I’m guessing Staal didn’t deserve this. And yes, I know it was a total fluke play. Timmonen wound up with a slap shot from just inside the blue line and the puck caromed off something in front of Staal before jumping up and getting him in the face. Staal was done in pain for nearly...
Dziurzynski was out cold for a few moments but recoved enough to be helped off the ice.

It can be easy to forget that Wayne Simmonds is still new to the goal scoring business.
After not once breaking the 20-goal plateau while a member of the Los Angeles Kings, Simmonds had an auspicious opening season with the Philadelphia Flyers during the 2011-12 season. His 28 goals were not only a career...
A busted up NHL player posted pictures of his battered and bruised face after a fight during a game last week and — thanks to a follower's comparison — shows an uncanny resemblance to the Star Wars character Darth Maul — or more like Darth mauled.
Philadelphia Flyers rookie Tye McGinn got into a fight last Monday but by the looks of things he is still felling the pain...
After a week hiatus Wednesday Jam Edition: Timeout with Lavy is back and this week we will discuss, the impact Simon Gagne will bring to the Flyers, The Flyers Carnival, and preview/predictions for the Pens-Flyers game tomorrow. Let’s JAM! So as we all know Simon Gagne has returned to the Philadelphia Flyers via trade [...]
When pretty much all of the Senators’ best players succumbed to injury, the natural reaction for many was to write off this shortened 2013 season and hop aboard the tank. And really, who could blame us?
We expected the team to have a difficult time scoring without the likes of Milan Michalek, Jason Spezza and Erik Karlsson - and they have dutifully lived up that astute...
I would like to continue my rant about how NHL players are some of the toughest folks in the sporting world, and the below video will speak for me. Check out how Frazer McLaren left David Dziurzynski not moving on the ice following their scrap during the beginning of the Senators and Maple Leafs game on Wednesday night. Dziurzynski left the game with an obvious concussion.
from Frank Seravalli of Frequent Flyers at the Philadelphia Daily News,
Pronger, 38, has understandably not addressed the media or the public about his ultimate career-ending eye injury until now. There isn’t much he’s allowed to say.
He gave his first interview to close family friend, Rogers Sportsnet analyst Dan Murphy in a two-part series which will air beginning...

The Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs have split the first two installments of the Battle of Ontario. With both teams vying for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference, Wednesday's rendition should be as contentious as ever.
Ottawa's currently in the midst of a tough road-losing streak, having picked up just two...
