Nnamdi Asomugha is the latest NFL player to team up with Funny or Die for the purposes of off-beat yukkity yuks on video. What results is part ’80s buddy cop movie, part PSA about Nigerians princes on the Internet and entirely full of terrible visual effects. The Nigerian prince spam isn’t a particularly new reference to online culture, so hopefully in future installments, Nnamdi can tackle parody Twitter accounts and the scourge that is Sulia.
As for his non-acting career, Nnamdi has been named among the players who might be on the chopping block on the Eagles roster after this season. At 31, he’s not quite the shutdown corner he once was and he comes with a hefty price tag. So what I’m trying to say is, congrats to Nnamdi on the $55 million guaranteed that he is getting from Dan Snyder in 2013.

Eagles could end up cutting Nnamdi Asomugha
There’s no question that the Philadelphia Eagles have been a big disappointment this season. One of their biggest problems on the defensive side of the ball has been the play of Nnamdi Asomugha who still hasn’t lived up to the free agent mega deal he signed last season.
There’s a chance that the eagles might cut Asomugha this offseason if he doesn’t take a pay cut.
“The...
Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie: Should they stay or should they go?
The Philadelphia Eagles have two highly touted corners in Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie whose futures with the team are uncertain after this season.
Rodgers-Cromartie is set to become a free agent. However, making a deal with him or any other player is not a priority for the Birds at the moment. With a 3-6 record and preparing to start a rookie quarterback on Sunday...
Actor Bradley Cooper obsessed with Eagles, plays Eagles fan in upcoming movie
Actor Bradley Cooper plays Pat Solitano in his upcoming movie Silver Linings Playbook alongside Robert De Niro, who plays Cooper's obsessed Philadelphia Eagles father in the movie. Cooper said he and his father, who has since passed, were huge Eagles fans, which helped with his role in the movie.
"Anytime you can make a connection with your own life and your role, it...
Internet Cops with Nnamdi Asomugha
Nnamdi Asomugha might be the worst tackler on the field, but in this Funny or Die skit he shows us he’s the best off of it as he takes down the Nigerian prince.
This is actually pretty funny. Once the Eagles cut him he can spend more time focusing on Hollywood.
Eagles Ready To Clean House After The Season?
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer writes that the Philadelphia Eagles will most likely begin the process of cleaning house after the season.
McLane mentions that the Eagles are projected to be close to $18 million over the salary cap next season, so it makes sense that they would begin to address some of their high-salaried players.

Michael Vick’s Next Destination (Buffalo, Perhaps?) Among Top Week 11 NFL Prop Bets (Photos)
Michael Vick isn’t expected to play tackle football this weekend, as the Eagles turn to Nick Foles while Vick attempts to recover from a concussion.
It’s uncertain when — or even if — Vick will return this season. If he doesn’t, there’s a chance that he doesn’t even return to Philadelphia. He’s shown flashes of brilliance at times in Philly, but the overall body of...
Eagles move closer toward starting the Foles era
Nick Foles practiced with the first team this week and stuck around for extra film work.
He's ready to make his first career NFL start for the Philadelphia Eagles.
All he needs now is to officially and publicly be named the starter. The Eagles again practiced another day without injured quarterback Michael Vick. The veteran has sat out since suffering a severe concussion in...
Eagles QB Vick out with concussion
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will miss Sunday's game vs. the Washington Redskins due to the effects of a concussion.
Rookie Nick Foles, who replaced Vick during the 38-23 loss to Dallas on Sunday, and who practiced with the first team all week, will get his first NFL start in a battle of 3-6 teams fighting to save their seasons.
Philadelphia head trainer Rick Burkholder...
Will Playing Nick Foles Behind Eagles’ Horrible OL Jeopardize His Development?
Photo: Getty Images
Since Philadelphia Eagles rookie QB Nick Foles is slated to make his first career start this Sunday, and perhaps play the remainder of the 2012 season, I’ve had a few people bring up the David Carr debate as a reason not to let him play yet.
What do I mean by that? In case you didn’t know or need a memory refresher, David Carr was the No. 1 overall pick...
Philadelphia Eagles: Week 11 NFL Power Rankings (#21)
Last week: 18 (-3)
Record: 3-6
It was a very smart of Andy Reid to “rest” Michael Vick the rest of the way. He’s not making the playoffs, but he can still save his job if Nick Foles goes say 4-3. He can blame their slow start on Vick and his history developing quarterbacks will probably convince management to let Reid stick around and develop the promising young quarterback...
Eagles OG Danny Watkins Questionable, Jake Scott Could Be Plugged In
Offensive lineman Jake Scott was signed by the Eagles on Monday. He could see action less than a week later.
Danny Watkins (ankle) practiced all week but is officially questionable for Sundays game in Washington.
Well, what you end up getting with the [high-ankle sprain], you get tweaks in there and it hinders your lateral mobility, said Andy Reid. I was proud of him...
McCoy To Get More Touches?
I’ll never fumble this Juan…
The disdain of all fantasy owners is the amount of touches that LeSean McCoy gets. We all see what he is capable of when he gets the ball in his hands. We will see an increase in touches with Nick Foles behind center. Maybe not.
OC Marty Mornhinweg: “I think LeSean is eighth in carries and fourth in total touches; I don’t think there’s...
Another Eagles’ turnover: This time at quarterback
When Michael Vick got concussed in the second quarter of the Eagles’ 38-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, first it is a real shame for such a gamer.
It might be a blessing in disguise for Philadelphia Eagle fans.
Not that Nick Foles will definitely be a World Beater, but the dude is 6’6”, 243 pounds, compared to Michael Vicks’ 6-0, 215 pounds.
Foles in size and stature is closest...
Eagles Will Start QB Nick Foles Vs Redskins
It comes as no surprise the Philadelphia Eagles will start rookie quarterback Nick Foles on Sunday when they tangle with the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field.
Foles takes over for Michael Vick, who will not play after suffering a concussion last week in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Vick will not play.
Eagles coach Andy Reid said it was...
Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins: 5 Things to Watch For
Philadelphia Eagles fans may need something extra to watch for during the final seven games beside the actual outcome. The Eagles have been insanely good at finding new ways to lose games. This is frustrating for a loyal fan base of a team riding a five game losing streak. The Eagles playoff hopes have all but been flushed down the tube. Their only real hope is a miracle seven...
