NORMAN, Okla. Not even Bedlam could shake even a bit of emotion loose from Landry Jones Saturday night.
Not another 50-point performance or another late-game drive, the kind generally seen only in the backyard and little-boy dreams, stirred up any visible feelings.
So, certainly the passing yardage, now at four figures in the past two games alone, didn't really affect Jones...
With the end of the second half looming, the Oklahoma Sooners looked to drive down the field and tie the game at 24. Landry Jones moved the ball well and with the team on the 18 yard line, Jones looked towards receiver Kenny Stills in the end-zone. In the aftermath of Bedlam, as Sooner players and faithful jumped in celebrated unity in Norman, it was easy to make sense of the insanity. The game came down to one series. One final push in overtime. Oklahoma State needed to keep Oklahoma out of the endzone, and they failed. The Sooners won another Bedlam classic – 51-48.
