A bit of sad news for college football fans today, Notre Dame has decided to end their series with the University of Michigan. ND exercised a three year out option and because of that the series will end in 2014. The current deal between the teams was supposed to go through 2017 with a two year break to follow. That means the earliest we can see these two schools on the gridiron is 2020.
The University of Michigan Athletic Department announced today (Tuesday, Sept. 25) that the football series with Notre Dame has been cancelled for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons. The Irish informed Michigan director of athletics Dave Brandon prior to kickoff of the match-up Saturday (Sept. 22) in South Bend, Ind.
