I’ve never been to Hawaii, so I don’t know exactly “how it is there.”  But, I have seen the Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style made-for-TV movie several times, I pretty much know “how it is there.” Women in grass skirts, luaus, people buying Kelly Kapowski’s grandpa’s hotel and terribly obnoxious high school football entrance routines.  It’s one thing to see droves of women choreographing dances to be performed in hula skirts.  It’s another to imagine how long this high school team (Moanalua High School) worked on this crazy entrance.  The tradition has been passed down through the years apparently, so I’m not sure you can blame the current kids. No, you can blame the current kids.  Traditions, smiditions.
