DALLAS (AP) -- Oklahoma State and Purdue will finally play again -- 15 years later in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. The Cowboys, one of five Big 12 teams with a 7-5 record, and Purdue (6-6), from the Big Ten, were chosen Sunday as the participants for the New Year's Day game played at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium. It is a rematch of the 1997 Alamo Bowl won 33-20 by the Boilermakers -- their first bowl appearance in 15 years -- at the end of then-coach Joe Tiller's first season. Tiller's successor, Danny Hope, was fired after four seasons with a 22-27 record. That decision came a day after the Boilermakers ended the regular season with a 56-35 win over Indiana for their third consecutive win since losing five in a row.

Tennessee looking to steal Mike Gundy from Oklahoma State?

The latest on the post-Gruden quest for a new Tennessee head football coach is reportedly aimed at Oklahoma State HC Mike Gundy. Yeah, that seems a little more feasible, doesn't it? It looks even more illogical when Gundy signed a new $3.75 per year deal with Oklahoma St. in January, which runs through 2019. What would make Gundy bolt in light of his new deal? Trouble in paradise...
