People had high hopes for the Texas Tech Red Raiders when Kliff Kingsbury, but they were not expected to be a contender in the Big 12 and a top 15 team. Kingsbury as them flying high though and the sky appears to to be the limit.

Week 10 was a strange one in college football — what the schedule lacked in premier matchups it made up for in wacky finishes. Some big statements were made by Florida State, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Oklahoma State (state schools for the win!) while Michigan, Texas Tech, and Miami may have to alter their expectations...

Not so very long ago the Texas Tech Red Raiders were undefeated and ranked in the nation’s top 10. Tech was considered one of college football’s great rags-to-riches stories. But the Red Raiders are no longer 7-0 and ranked in the top 10. They are no longer contenders for the Big 12 championship, and it is almost certain that they will drop out of the top 25.
The Red Raider defense has given up 741 on the ground the past three games and are 1-2 over that stretch. Texas Tech started the season strong against the run, but it is becoming glaringly obvious that Texas Tech’s run defense is no longer a team strength, but rather, has become Tech’s primary liability. The question is why has the rush defense fallen off so quickly?
Last weekend was a huge recruiting opportunity for Texas Tech as the Red Raiders hosted a very large and talented group of prospects. Many fans worried the loss to Oklahoma State ruined Tech's chances with the recruits, but judging by the reactions from the prospects, such as Cameron Batson (pictured), it appears the coaching staff, university and community hit a home run.
Texas Tech, ranked No. 15 in the BCS standings, committed three turnovers and allowed 281 rushing yards Saturday night against the No. 18 Oklahoma State Cowboys. Despite those numbers, Texas Tech could have won the game. The special teams and field possession is what ultimately did the Red Raiders in.

Texas Tech must bow up and slow Oklahoma State's rushing game, jump out to an early lead and most importantly, win the turnover battle to break the Cowboys' four-game win streak over the Red Raiders.
