Outman is in tune as A's extend win streak

OAKLAND – Josh Outman takes the blame for one A's pitching streak ending on his watch. Outman became the first A's starter to walk a batter in five games when he issued two free passes in a three-run fourth inning Monday night. That was a blip on the screen, as Outman turned in yet another fine outing in the A's 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins at the Oakland Coliseum. That extended the majors' longest current winning streak to seven games. It's the A's longest since a 10-gamer June 8-18, 2006.
