Few would argue Orlando Pace was one of the most dominating Ohio State football players of all time, and now the offensive lineman who lettered from 1994-96 is being so recognized on a national scale. Pace was selected Tuesday afternoon for enshrinement in the College Football Hall of Fame.

Bears RB Matt Forte has a decent Chicago mansion with a killer basement (PICS)

via Realtor.com Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte deserved to treat himself to something nice for having to put up with quarterback Jay Cutler on a regular basis.  Forte’s disdain for Mr. Cavallari (I may or may not be making that up) forced him to buy a house that’s roughly a 45 minute drive to Soldier Field.  Of course, in Chicago’s traffic, that might means he’s...

Orlando Pace Elected to College Football Hall of Fame

Finally, the mountain of a man known for making pancakes out of opposing defensive linemen has made it into the College Football Hall of Fame.  He is the 24th Ohio State Buckeye player admitted to the Hall of Fame, and 34th inductee with Ohio State ties.  So, in honor of the pancake master, we give you his advice from his 1996 Heisman Campaign on how to make pancakes.

Chicago Bears Draft Pick Statistical Metric Analysis: Kyle Long

There was a collective groan that went up in Chicago when the Bears announced that they had selected offensive linemen Kyle Long with the 20th pick in the NFL draft.  The consensus on Long was that he was at best a second round pick, but by the vast majority of opinions he was not a first round pick.  There was a lot of better talent left on the board that the Bears could have...

Mike Ditka: Tebow can play quarterback in the NFL

While every team in the NFL has basically turned a blind eye away from former Jets and Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, there is one former coach who thinks Tebow deserved another chance. "I think [Tebow] can play quarterback in the NFL, but whatever offense you run might have to be tweaked a bit,” Mike Ditka said in the Chicago Sun-Times, via sulia.com.  Ditka currently...

Chicago Bears Full Offseason Recap Part 1: Coaching Staff

The rush of free agency has come and gone, and the NFL Draft has come to pass with mixed reactions about how the Bears decided to approach their first round pick. Way before all of that happened, the coaching staff was completely gutted and replaced. There’s no doubting the Bears improved this offseason. The question now is “by how much?” In this recap, I’ll be assessing...

Matt Forte's House is Well--Nice

When you are a superstar in the National Football League you can't have just any old house. Actually, to live in something that most people would call a 'house' is just wrong. You have the means to have more than just a house, so why not get it? Matt Forte, superstar running back of the Chicago Bears (in case you didn't know), has the means, and now he has the...

Wuerffel, Testaverde, Pace, Dayne lead college HOF class

NEW YORK (AP) The only time Tommie Frazier and Danny Wuerffel shared the field during their brilliant college careers, Frazier's Nebraska team trampled Wuerffel and Florida in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl to win the national championship. Wuerffel and the Gators bounced back from that record-breaking 62-24 smackdown to take the title the next season. The former quarterbacks will cross...

We are in that long, dull time of the offseason when the draft is over, free agency has (mostly) ended, and football is still too far away.  What is a die-hard NFL fan to do?  I’m so glad you asked! Borrowing from WCSN’s own Michael Helton, I thought it would be fun to stir some [...]The post Top ten Chicago Bears draft picks since 1995: Part 1 by Jon Vander Woude appeared...
