A trio of Green Bay Packers wide receivers missed practice
Wednesday, including Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Jarrett Boykin, according
to Tom Silverstein of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Three days before they're set to play the San Francisco
49ers in a divisional playoff game at Candlestick Park, the Packers were
without Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Jarrett Boykin.
The Packers entered last weekend’s Wild Card matchup against
the Minnesota Vikings with their starting four wide outs, Nelson, Cobb, James
Jones and Greg Jennings, healthy for the first time in a long time. However,
Nelson, Cobb and Boykin all missed Wednesday’s session due to injury.
Silverstein terms Nelson’s injury a “mystery” since he
briefly exited last weekend’s Wild Card game. The wide receiver has said that
he didn’t aggravate his previous knee or ankle injuries, but other than that
his status is generally unknown.
Cobb’s absence could be flu-related, meaning he will likely
return this week and be able to suit up for the Divisional round game this
weekend. Boykin tried to practice Tuesday, but he was unable to return again yesterday
due to an ankle injury he sustained in the Packers’ regular season finale.
