Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel mentions that the Green Bay Packers have told RB Ryan Grant “they have an interest in bringing him back.” The Packers haven’t shown a lot of interest in retaining Grant up until this point, but they’ve yet to address the running back position so far, which leaves the door open for a possible return. Grant visited with the Patriots yesterday, but they also brought in a number of other veteran backs like Tim Hightower and Joseph Addai. Ted Thompson shown a lot of loyalty to his guys in recent years, which was evident by the large deal he gave to A.J. Hawk last year when he probably wouldn’t have secured a contract anywhere near that on the open market. The Packers have plenty of draft picks to work with this year, so there’s still a good chance that they could end up drafting someone in the coming days.

Aaron Rodgers does not share the NFLPA's opinion on Bounty Gate.

This situation with the NFLPA's Bounty Gate stance is almost funny. You have the governing body of a group of players fighting to protect the guys that were taking money to strike down a group of players. It truth, the players union really should step back and let the league handle this because if they are somehow successful end result that will not please large segments of...

Packers Aren’t Sold On Newhouse

Young offensive lineman had his ups and downs last season Marshall Newhouse started 11 games at left tackle last season, and all things considered, he did an admirable job. While the second-year player from TCU gave up too many pressures and sacks, he generally held his own. And while generally holding your own may not sound all that impressive, for last year’s Packers, it was...

Are Running Backs Becoming Undervalued?

By most accounts, Boise St. RB Doug Martin is a great talent. But most mock drafts have him falling out of the second round. As the Green Bay Packers and the other 31 NFL teams rush to find a franchise quarterback and stockpile as many wide receivers, pass-catching tight ends and cover cornerbacks as possible, running backs are being left in the dust. Passing rules today’s NFL...
