NFL Trade Rumors:
The Green Bay Packers announced that they have released second-year S Jerron McMillian to make room for RB Kahlil Bell.
McMillian, 24, was a fourth-round selection back in 2012, so it is a little surprising to see them part ways with a reasonably high draft pick after less than two years with the team.
McMillian played in 28 games with the Packers and tallied 28 tackles, one interception and six pass defenses. In 2012, McMillian actually graded out as an above-average safety, according to Pro Football Focus, but this season he has produced a well below-average rating of -10.5.
He could find interest on the open market in the coming days.

Today the Green Bay Packers signed one of the most underrated running backs in the NFL. Kahlil Bell was a force for the Chicago Bears a few years back, and I honestly do not know how he was not on a team. He reminds me a lot of Fred Jackson, a very patient runner. The […]
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Matt Flynn took all of the startingquarterback reps for the Green Bay Packers in Wednesday's practice. So, unlessAaron Rodgers is medically cleared in time for Sunday's game against theAtlanta Falcons (which it doesn't seem he will be), it will be Flynn making hissecond consecutive start for the Packers. With Flynn the center of attention in Green Bay...
Around this time of year, there are always questions with below average teams whether they should scrap this current season in favor of a new start this year. The Green Bay Packers are one of those subpar teams where it looks like this is a lost season and they would do themselves a favor by scrapping this season and starting fresh and healthy next year. Their defense is a seriously...
Count Paul Hornung among those who's opposed to cold weather Super Bowls.
TMZ caught up with the former Packer and Hall of Famer at an airport and asked what he thought of Super Bowl 48, which, of course, will be held outdoors in MetLife Stadium on Feb. 2.
Hornung's response was less than flattering.
"I hope it snows and rains like a [expletive]," he said,...
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told the media on Tuesday that Aaron Rodgers still hasn’t been cleared to play, but will practice on Wednesday.
McCarthy: Aaron Rodgers' status. He has not been cleared yet. Will practice tomorrow in limited fashion. Have not ruled him out for game yet

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The wait for Aaron Rodgers to bemedically cleared continues.Though the Green Bay Packers are winless in all five games sincetheir starting quarterback broke his left collarbone, there is still noguarantee that Rodgers will return in time for Sunday's home game against theAtlanta Falcons."Aaron Rodgers' status, he has not been cleared yetfrom the medical...
Aaron Rodgers' fractured collarbone has not altered or diminished his excellent passing motion if his reps in practice are any indication.
The Packers franchise quarterback is still doing his practice throws with the backup center while Matt Flynn practices with the first team but Rodgers appears to have the usual accuracy and velocity on his throws, per ESPN:
Nothing has been announced by the team, but according to his Twitter account, veteran running back Kahlil Bell has signed with Green Bay. The move makes a lot of sense. After placing rookie Johnathan Franklin on injured reserve last week, the Packers entered their game at Detroit on Thanksgiving Day with only two running backs. Bell, 26, who was released by the Jets in September...
The good news for Packers fans is that Aaron Rodgers has definitely not been ruled out for this week's game against the Falcons.
The bad news is that the Packers have not said that he will play.
Coach Mike McCarthy stated to reporters that Rodgers has not been medically cleared to play yet, but he will continue to practice in a limited capacity during the week. Matt...
I’ve had a huge problem with Dom Capers’ predictable schemes and his lack of adjustments during games for the past 2 1/2 seasons. Now I have a huge problem with another thing – his common sense. Outside linebacker Nick Perry clearly does his best work from the right side, so what did Green Bay’s veteran defensive coordinator do last week against the Lions? He placed the former...
Aaron Rodgers denied that there were plans to shut him down.
Speaking to reporters Rodgers said he was disappointed that he was not cleared for a return to the field but said he planned on returning this season.
“At this point, it’s really about the risk of going back out there,” Rodgers said on his weekly radio show. “I can’t say this morning was the greatest...
We have all watched in disgust over the past five weeks as the Packers defense has been pounded into mulch.
They have given up 148 points in five games, over 330+ yards of total offense in each game, at least 200+ of those yards coming through the air.
The rush defense was once in the top 5 but has now dropped to 27th and has given up 1511 yards.
The only noticeable...

As this tweet says, Aaron Rodgers turns the big 3-0 today.
I read that as Aaron Rodgers returns from injury and after three games is 3-0! That would mean wins over Falcons, Cowboys. and the Steelers, and heading...
Will Aaron Rodgers play this Sunday against the Falcons? Matt Flynn’s not sure what to expect. After a short week of preparation and a disaster against the Lions, Flynn is using extra time this week to prepare as the starter. In the process, he hopes to find a rhythm that was sorely missing last Thursday.
