The Carolina Panthers improved to 5-3 with their fourth straight victory with a 34-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Panthers QB Cam Newton's two-interception day wasn't a deterrent for a team that rolled over a quickly fading Falcons team. Newton threw for 249 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown pass to tight end Greg Olsen. He also ran for an 8-yard touchdown. Fullback Mike Tolbert scored his fifth touchdown in the last four games on a 4-yard run. Falcons QB Matt Ryan was 20 of 27 for 219 yards. The Falcons continued their downward spiral without Julio Jones and Roddy White. Tony Gonzalez had six catches for 81 yards and a touchdown for the Falcons. The Panthers have won five of their last six, however, the teams they’ve beaten entered today with a 8-29 record, so the much bigger tests.

Credit Carolina's 'D' for team's turnaround
