Found October 30, 2012 on Boston Sports Media Watch:
The Patriots will head into the bye week coming off of their first complete 60-minute game of the season in their 45-7 win over the Rams in London. Tom Brady played his best game of the year, and the defense finally generated some pressure on the opposing quarterback by blitzing for the first time this year. This will definitely be one of the talking points during the bye week of whether or not they will build off of Sunday’s performance and blitz more often during the second half of the season. The team altered its flight plans from London and left early Monday morning to arrive at Logan airport a little before noon Monday. It was apparently one of the final flights allowed to land before the brunt of the storm hit the area. Many of the reporters who covered the game in London had their flights cancelled and will now be stuck there until Tuesday or Wednesday. Not a bad place to have a couple of extra days, but I’m sure many of them would rather be home and with their families. Thou...

Tom Brady wins another award he probably doesn't care about

Tom Brady has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.— Nick Underhill (@Nick_Underhill) October 31, 2012It's Brady's 22nd time winning the award, which ties him with Peyton Manning for the most all time.It was maybe Brady's best game of the season as he threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns. Still, something Brady has stressed over and over again is...

Brady, Patriots rout Rams 45-7 at Wembley

Tom Brady led touchdown drives on the Patriots' first five possessions Sunday and New England ran over the St. Louis Rams 45-7 in the NFL's annual regular-season game in London. The Rams looked ready to put up a fight when Sam Bradford hit Chris Givens with a 50-yard touchdown pass on the first drive of the game. But that was about all the offense St. Louis could muster...

Brady gives Britain a show in blowout win

The New England Patriots had a mission for week 8: Get in, get the win, go home. Turns out, due to Hurricane Sandy, getting out was the hardest part. The Patriots took out a mediocre St. Louis Rams team, just like they should have to many of their opponents so far.Tom Brady, with a passer rating of 133, dominated the Rams defense. Rob Gronkowski appeared as though he was never...

Comments from the other side - Rams 10/28

If the Rams fans weren't constantly wishing that Brady got injured, it'd be easy to feel bad for them. At first they blame the refs, but after awhile they just indulge in the booze. This was a good beatdown of an inferior team, maybe the first complete game we've seen from the Patriots all year. The Rams were also ticked off that the Patriots were running up the score...

Brady, Gronk and Ridley Lead Patriots to Jolly Good Time

The New England Patriots and St Louis Rams went overseas for the 2012 NFL International Series Game at Wembley Stadium in London.  The English hadn’t seen such a forceful offensive onslaught since the Patriots whipped the Tampa Buccaneers in their last London appearance, 35-7 in 2009.  When Tom Brady and company were done with the Rams there was no doubt in anyone’s mind...

New England Patriots Destroys Rams In Old England: Hero & Zero of the Game

To those few who had the audacity to imagine that Sam Bradford could out-duel the great Tom Brady and his high power attack, try not to take it too hard. He's still got it and he's gonna keep on winning games. So stop dissing on that arm- he still looks like the quarterback who wins Super Bowls.Oh, and for the pundits who claimed that this game in London, England was not...

The Hollow Mockery Week 8 Part I: Perpetual Revolution

Safety AwarenessBy now we’ve all seen the NFL’s commercial addressing player safety. It features Tom Brady answering the queries of a worried mother about how the NFL is improving safety, particularly for younger players. It is a clear PR move, attempting to soothe fears over head injuries and other such problems endemic to football. Perhaps it is slightly misleading in that...

London Burning: Patriots lay waste to the Rams

I learned two things while watching the Rams at a Dave & Busters with my family and a group of Rams fans. 1: The amount of time it takes for the D&B sensory overload to reduce my four-year-old son to be reduced to a quivering puddle of nerves and tears is approximately two hours. 2: The amount of time it takes for Tom Brady and the Patriots to do the same to the Rams defense...

Week 8 Risers and Fallers: Patriots Take Care of Business Across the Pond

While the trip to London was surely full of fun and games, Sunday was purely a business trip. The Patriots dominated the Rams at Wembley Stadium, 45-7, moving to 5-3 at the midway point of their season. Tom Brady put on a vintage performance for the London crowd, throwing four touchdowns and posting a season-high passer rating of 131.1. Rob Gronkowski marched to the tune...

Halftime: Pats 28, Rams 7

Four possessions, four touchdowns for the Patriots in the first half. New England leads St. Louis 28-7 at the break in London. Shane Vereen scored on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line to give the Pats a 14-7 lead. With 6:51 left in the second quarter, Tom Brady found Rob Gronkowski for a 7-yard touchdown. Gronk celebrated London style, by imitating a British Royal Guard march...
