The Patriots added some depth to their secondary.
The team announced they re-signed Marquice Cole on Wednesday. Cole was a reserve cornerback and special teamer with New England in 2012. He started one game. He played 232 defensive snaps last season, according to the website Pro Football Focus. Most of those came in the slot.
Cole spent the first two years of his career with the Raiders, Titans and Saints before latching on with the Jets in 2009. He stayed in New York until 2011 before signing with the Patriots prior to the 2012 season.
Cole allowed 16 receptions on 27 targets last season, according to Pro Football Focus. He let up 215 yards and one touchdown while recording one interception.

Tom Brady gets UNREAL with the Easter Bunny - Sorry Bunny Touchdown Dance (by unreal)
The best of a collection of new Brady videos, one that might give the Jets a little flashback to the 45-3 beatdown in 2010. I have to say, it’s taken over a decade but Brady’s acting is finally starting to improve… a bit.
For some professional athletes, a number is more than just a digit or two pasted to their uniform.
It sounds like Adrian Wilson is one of those people and he’s willing to put diapers on the line to get his beloved No. 24.
Kyle Arrington, who just inked a four-year deal with the Patriots, has rocked the No. 24 Patriots jersey since 2011 after wearing No. 27 during the three previous...

Oh No! Easter has been cancelled due to Tom Brady attacking the Easter Bunny!
Check out this short promo video of Tom Brady killing the Easter Bunny in an ad for UNREAL, a candy company that is promoting a healthy candy made without a bunch of junk in it.

The New England Patriots have brought back another member of the secondary when they re-signed Marquice Cole to a new contract. Terms have not yet been disclosed.
Cole came to New England last season on a one-year free agent deal after having spent 3 seasons with the Patriots AFC East rival New York Jets.
Cole, who is primarily a special teams player with some added time...
Now before I do this I would like to point out that Tom Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game. He has consistently led the New England Patriots [...]
Patriots owner Robert Kraft says he has a photo of the infamous "Tuck Rule" play signed by then-Raiders head coach Jon Gruden that reads, "It was a fumble."
Or how to first pump.
It's kind of funny that he says, "Do it right at the other team!" because that's basically what the Jets have been complaining about for years. They say Brady does that everytime they score a touchdown, taunting them.
In their defense, that probably would get annoying when the Pats are scoring like six times every game.
For more comedic...
Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are the winning-est coach and quarterback tandem in NFL history, so calling them the best ever wouldn’t be much too much of a stretch. And that’s just what Robert Kraft did.
Kraft, who along with Belichick is out at the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Ariz., this week, joined NBC Sports Pro Football Talk crew on Tuesday and let his feelings be known...
Adrian Wilson is new to the Patriots’ organization, but he’s already catching onto some of the team’s unwritten rules. Namely, phone calls.
Soon after free agency began, Belichick gave Wilson a call to talk about the possibility of coming to New England and the All-Pro safety was wise enough to answer.
“Whenever Coach [Bill] Belichick calls, you answer,” Wilson joked during...
The NFL owners voted to eliminate the infamous tuck rule, the rule that gave Tom Brady second life in his first playoff game. It was a bad rule, it will always be a bad rule if they decide to bring it back and every New England Patriots’ fan knows they got away with murder that day.
It doesn’t mean we still didn’t love the tuck rule.
It would be really easy for me to be a dick...
Years from now, when your grandchildren’s grandchildren dig up this odd “2013 NFL Head Coach Class Photo,” they’ll wonder where the “Gate Guys” were hiding — as in Bill Belichick of Spygate and Sean Payton of Bountygate.
OK, so Patriots fans’ great-great-great grandchildren will likely know of Belichick for much more than the “S word,” but you get the point....
