The Washington Capitals dropped their third straight game, a 3-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils.
The Capitals lose in a familiar fashion, through mistakes of their own and untimely penalties. This time, also familiar as ever, Alexander Semin, the player the Caps needed to step up with Alex Ovechkin sidelined, stepped down instead, amassing 6 penalty minutes, 4 of them coming in the third period. Beyond Semin, the Caps committed two minute minors that led to 2 Devils power play goals in the third period to lift the Devil to the win.
