This time next month, we will be in the midst of the long awaited 2012 NFL draft. We will know who the top pick of the Philadelphia Eagles and little else.
The pickup of LB DeMaco Ryans by the Birds has added an interesting wrinkle to the annual tradition of trying to figure out of the mindset of the Eagles front office via mock drafts. The Birds know that, while getting Ryans was a huge step, they can’t be done at the LB position. Will they seek to pickup someone like ILB Luke Kuechly from Boston College, as many early mock drafts suggested? Or will the team take advantage of the deep pool of talent at defensive tackle and take someone like Fletcher Cox of Mississippi State?
The speculation is what makes the lead up to the draft so fun. Full of intrigue and analysis and in the end, we all know the same as everyone else about the intentions of teams: Absolutely nothing.
So what will the Eagles do with that top pick, at #15 overall, and what position will they seek to fill elsewher...
