Join Flyers Head Coach Peter Laviolette, Flyers alumni Derian Hatcher, anthemist Lauren Hart, Head Athletic Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach Jim McCrossin, Comcast SportsNet Flyers Play by Play Announcer Jim Jackson  Rinkside Analyst Steve Coates, Wired 96.5 Producer JP Allen and other special celebrity guests for the Inaugural Flyers Charities Halloween 5K Fun Run & Walk presented by Toyota on Saturday, October 27 (5K at 9:00 a.m., Fun Run & Walk at 9:45 a.m.) at the Wells Fargo Complex. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costumes and/or Flyers gear. Timing prizes will be awarded for top male and female runners in the 5K, along with prizes for the best costumes and most spirited. The event will also feature a Family Fun Area with inflatables, face painters and pumpkin painting. Net proceeds benefit Flyers Charities, a division of Comcast-Spectacor Charities, to help support local non-profit organizations in the Greater Philadelphia Region. As part of the Flyers Charities Inaugural Halloween 5K Fun Run and Walk, and in conjunction with the NHL’s Hockey Fights Cancer initiative throughout October, Comcast-Spectacor Charities is proud to involve the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, and Fox Chase Cancer Center throughout the 5K Race as well as the 1-Mile Fun Run & Walk. Stop by each organization’s booth on race day for free give-a-ways and receive information about the great things they are doing in our community to fight cancer. If the event is not sold out, day-of registration will be $40 for 5K and $30 for 1 mile Fun Run & Walk. Pets and strollers will be allowed on the course.
