What was one of the few areas of the Eagles you felt pretty confident about going into the 2012 season? The strength and stability of the offensive line for the first time in ages? Yeah, me too. Todd Herremans given a longer deal. Evan Mathis re-signed. Jason Kelce returning after a good rookie campaign. And of course, Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters. The best offensive lineman on the team and one of the very best in the NFL. Mike Vick protected and excellent blocking for LeSean McCoy so that he has another incredible year – check. And then this happened. The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Friday afternoon that Pro Bowl OT had ruptured his Achilles tendon in his right leg when practicing in Texas on March 27, and that he would receive treatment at the Rothman Institute on April 3.
