With the 12th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft the Miami Dolphins select..... While we are a bit behind in the mock draft world, we decided to wait until the dust settled with free agency and see how this roster looked before assembling a mock draft here at Phinsphocus.com. Now that the new draft hats featuring the new logo are available to the public we decided it was time we launch our very own mock draft.  The Dolphins are loaded at the top end of the draft with 5 picks in the first 3 rounds. We did this mock draft based on the assumption the Dolphins wouldn't trade up or down. 1st round : 12th pick @PhinsDaniel ( Daniel Eliesen ) TE Tyler Eifert With Lane Johnson and Dee Milllner both most likely being off the board, I think the Dolphins continue with the trend of trying to find Ryan Tannehill weapons. Eifert is a tight end that can help spread the field and brings another pass catcher to this offense. With Dustin Keller brought in on just a 1 ye...

Dolphins very interested in Lane Johnson, could trade up to get him

It’s no secret that the Miami Dolphins need to find an offensive tackle, either in the draft or in the recycling bin that is free agency.  The Dolphins have not shown interest in recently released Tyson Clabo yet.  They’ve also cooled on the idea of signing Eric Winston.  The common theme there is that both players are right tackles.  In my opinion, the Dolphins simply do...

How much have the Dolphins improved this offseason?

The Miami Dolphins have had a very busy offseason.  The Dolphins have jettisoned a number of team leaders, while getting both younger and faster at a number of key positions.  The Dolphins lost Jake Long, Sean Smith, and Reggie Bush to free agency and cut ties with 2 starting linebackers, Karlos Dansby and Kevin Burnett.  In exchange, the Dolphins have added Mike Wallace, Brandon...

D.J. Fluker is reportedly a possibility for the Dolphins

According to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net, there’s a chance the Miami Dolphins could end up using the 12th overall pick of this month’s draft on Alabama offensive tackle D.J. Fluker. There’s no doubt that with Jake Long now in St. Louis, the Dolphins are going to need to draft a tackle early on.     Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script =...

Dolphins looking to referendum on stadium plan

The Miami Dolphins say they've reached an agreement with the Miami-Dade county mayor to hold a referendum on a plan to use hotel taxes to help pay for a nearly $400 million upgrade to the team's stadium. Public money would be used for about 30 percent of the project, which also requires approval by the Florida Legislature. The referendum will be held in May, shortly before...

Dolphins Considering Trading Up For OT Lane Johnson?

Agent Drew Rosenhaus is “hearing from everyone” that the Miami Dolphins are targeting an offensive tackle in the first-round, per Ben Volin. Since losing Jake Long to the Rams, the Dolphins have been linked to every available free agent offensive tackle, but they haven’t shown serious interest in guys like Eric Winston, Andre Smith or Bryant McKinnie. As far as the draft...
