Found December 02, 2012 on Bush League Chronicle:
No, your eyes do not deceive you. What you see here is a guy using cash to wipe his buttocks -- a 20-pound note to be exact. The man in the photo has been identified as 28-year old Liam Ridgewell of the Barclays Premier League. He is a defender for West Bromwich Albion and earns a salary of about 20,000 pounds ($31,000) per week. So, relegating a small bit of that to toiletries may seem like no big deal, right? Wrong. "The photo was taken in the privacy of my home around eight months ago as a joke to wind up a mate, who I had just won a personal bet with," he told The Sun. "I only intended him to see the photo but now it’s public, I can understand how it will be viewed. I am sorry for any offense it causes." One fan summed the situation up best by saying, "You wouldn't catch me doing that with a £20 note. It's insensitive to fans who have to scrape money together just to see him play." Touche. It also happens to be extremely gross. Via Metro.
