In what is now regarded as one of the most controversial decisions in recent memory, Diego Sanchez defeated Takanori Gomi via split decision in their UFC on Fuel TV 8 feature fight. The former Pride lightweight champion controlled the fight and clearly put on a better performance that his counterpart yet suffered a frustrating (and baffling) loss to Sanchez. What is even more impressive about Gomi’s performance is that it now appears he fought the final two rounds of the fight with a broken hand. The Japanese legend posted a picture of the X-ray on his personal blog and mentioned that the injury occurred in the first part of the fight. Check it out below:
