Tennessee Titans wideout Kenny Britt has once again made news outside the realm of athletics. According to reports in The Tennesseean and The Jersey Journal, New Jersey police would like to speak with Britt regarding a stabbing incident -- and subsequent gunfire exchange later on -- from early Sunday morning, resulting in an emergency-room visit for Britt's brother (whose name has yet to be publicly released). In The Jersey Journal account, police were initially called to the home of Kenny Britt's girlfriend about a stabbing incident sometime after 3 a.m Sunday. They were subsequently notified that Britt had accompanied his brother, the presumed victim, to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment. Later in the morning, police were called to address another incident in that same area, possibly involving gunfire between Britt and his 23-year-old brother. Neither sibling was cooperative with police about either incident, according to reports. The NFL veteran Britt, who played his college ball at Rutgers, is no stranger to run-ins with police personnel. Last July, he was arrested for drunk driving at an army post on the Kentucky-Tennessee border, leading to a league suspension in September. And in 2011, he was cited for two different road incidents -- the first involving a police chase in New Jersey and the second stemming from a traffic stop where police suspected that Britt was driving under the influence of marijuana. In four seasons with the Titans, Britt caught 146 balls for 2,354 yards and 19 touchdowns. Within that span, he has missed 19 games to either injury andor suspension.
