Tim Tebow and Christianity go together like peanut butter and jelly. You can’t have one without the other. Unless of course you have marshmallow Fluff, but we won’t get into that. There are plenty of people who think Tebow’s religious preaching is a thing of beauty while others want him to shut up and keep it to himself.  The real question is how many people out there think God has something to do with the Broncos success?  A recent poll conducted by the folks at Poll Position would indicate the answer is quite a few.

According to the survey — which is described in more detail here — 43% of respondents believe divine intervention plays a factor in Tebow’s success.  The first question respondents were asked is if they were aware of Tebow’s success.  If they said yes, they were then asked if they believe any of his success can be attributed to divine intervention.  The results were close, with 43% saying, 42% saying no, and another 14% expressing no opinion.

And there you have it.  Nearly half of the people surveyed think God is literally playing a hand in the results of Denver Broncos games.  If you believe in that, great.  The only thing I would challenge polls like this one to follow-up with is whether or not divine intervention plays a hand in Tebow’s and the Broncos’ failures.  If the Patriots beat Denver on Saturday night, does that mean God caused them to lose?  Something tells me 43% of people wouldn’t attribute Broncos losses to divine intervention.

H/T to Game On! for passing the survey along
