NBA 24/7 365:
For a wing player, Gordon Hayward is a pretty good shot blocker. He averages a half swat per game for his career, which may not seem like much, but how many shooting guards send somebody packing once every other game? In Saturday’s loss to the Rockets Hayward came up with his 12th denial of the young season, but his 13th would not come at the expense of #13…
Admirable hustle from Hayward, who obviously arrived a tad late, but better (and noisier!) slam by James Harden. The way he cocked it to the left gave Hayward sufficient time to get all the way in his poster, making it that much nastier.
Honorable mention to Tim Duncan, who nearly nabbed his third POTD. Did you hear his primal roar? That’s a lot of emotion to get out of ol’ Timmy. I wonder if substantial sanctions got him all gassed up? Whatever the case may be, I enjoyed that!

In his first season with the Houston Rockets, James Harden is averaging over 24 points per game as the primary offensive option. His new team may not be experiencing the same success as his old team, but James Harden has shown that he is as good as many believed. Just ask Gordon Hayward: It looked like Hayward was going to be able to chase down Harden for the block, but Harden somehow...

HOUSTON -- The Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz levied blows at one another down the stretch of the third quarter at such a frenzied pace that there was no reason to believe a similar conclusion in the fourth period wasn't on tap. So, even after the Rockets extended to a double-digit lead on the strength of their bench, the Jazz clawed back. The Jazz responded to the Rockets...
The Utah Jazz (9-8) travel to Houston tonight to face the Rockets (7-8) for the second time this season. The Rockets lost to the Jazz 102-92 on Nov. 19 in Utah. Harden didn’t have much of an impact the last time out, so look for him to bounce back as he tries to get Houston their fifth straight home win.
