Following up a 6-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers, Nashville was hoping to match the intensity level using the momentum they had gained to take them into their final road trip of the season. However, it didn’t seem to be in the cards for tonight. The Predators would tie the game at 1 in the third period, but ultimately lost in the shootout dropping them to 10-9-6 on the season.
The game wasn’t the only loss for Nashville as leading point scorer Colin Wilson was lost to an upper body injury during the second period, the second Predators forward to fall to an upper body injury in the past two games (Hornqvist was knocked out of play last night vs Edmonton)
“[Wilson and Hornqvist] are playing hard and things happen. It’s a physical game and we’ll have to go through it. We will have to do it as a group,” said Coach Barry Trotz.
