Prince Tagoe didn’t play in the 2-0 defeat to Lekhwiya

Prince Tagoe’s Saudi Arabian team Al Ettifaq have crashed out of the Asian Champions League following a 2-0 defeat at Lekhwiya on Wednesday.
The Ghana international remained on the bench as an unused substitute in the game played at the Abdullar bin Nasser bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
Goals from Luiz Ceara and Khalid Muftah in the 12th and 66th minute respectively extinguished Ettifaq’s faint dreams of reaching the knockout stages of the competition.
The Saudi Arabian club dropped to third in Group B with seven points – two less than second-placed Al Shabab.
Lekhwiya thus progress in the competition as winners of Group B alongside second-placed Al Shabab.
Ettfaq’s failure to progress might trigger the sacking of coach Maciej Skorza whose only source of salvation until now was in the Champions League following the side’s shambolic performance in the Saudi top flight.
