Let me start by saying I know every inductee in this year's HOF class absolutely deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. I wouldn't take it from any of them.I was simply very surprised when I saw that Michael Strahan was left out. I just knew from the day that he retired, he would be a first ballot Hall-of-Famer.That surprise resurfaced, recently, as I watched the Super Bowl.When the final whistle blew, and the Baltimore Ravens were victorious, and all the fanfare started to unfold, I watched as the legendary Ray Lewis hoisted the Lombardi into the air capping off a remarkable career with a storybook ending. Lewis, I believe, will be in the Hall as soon as he is eligible.The thing that amazes me the most with the situation is that five years ago, I watched as Strahan hoisted the same trophy after finishing a remarkable career of a decade-and-a-half as a defensive leader of the New York Giants. At that time I was just as certain that Strahan would be a first ballot Hall-of-Famer ...
