He will probably make one more start in Triple-A before rosters expand in September. Matt Hague hit his eighth homer of the year. He also hit two doubles, giving him 37 on the year. That ties with Josh Bell for the system lead. Chase d’Arnaud and Russ Canzler each picked up two hits. Stetson Allie hit his 16th double of the year for Bradenton. He now has 31 on the season between two levels. Allie currently has a hit in eight of his last nine games, with three doubles and two homers in that stretch. Elias Diaz hit his second triple of the year. He is 16-for-33 with two doubles and a triple in his last ten games.   A: WEST VIRGINIA POWER Box Score Result: West Virginia 4, Savannah 3 Starting Pitcher: John Kuchno, RHP (9-5, 4.01) – 6.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 5 BB, 4 K, 0 HR Top Hitter: Jimmy Rider, 3B (.227) – 4-for-4, 2B, HR, 3 RBI Other Notable Performers: Jonathan Schwind, LF (.227) – 2-for-3, BB Game Notes: Jimmy Rider had a four hit day, and hit his second homer of the year with West Virginia in 22 at-bats. John Kuchno struggled with his control tonight, walking five after giving up four walks in his previous five starts. Kuchno still gave up just three runs in six innings, and has a 2.84 ERA in 57 innings over his last ten starts.   A-: JAMESTOWN JAMMERS Box Score Result: Jamestown 4, Williamsport 1 Starting Pitcher: Chad Kuhl, RHP (2.18) – 5.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 0 HR Top Hitter: Elvis Escobar, RF (.262) – 1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI Other Notable Performers: Jin-De Jhang, C (.275) – 1-for-3, BB Michael Fransoso, 2B (.252) – 2-for-3 Candon Myles, LF (.208) – 1-for-3, BB, 2 SB Game Notes: Elvis Escobar hit his first homer of the year. He has been hitting well lately, with a .379/.400/.552 line in 29 at-bats over his last ten games. Candon Myles stole two bases, giving him five in nine games with Jamestown. He also has a .406 OBP in that span, although he’s not hitting for average or power. For the fourth start in a row, Chad Kuhl went five innings giving up two or fewer runs.
