Give it a read. I think it makes some valid points. I dont care what DJ says its time to move on from Vick. He might seem like the perfect fit for Kelly's new offense but he refuses to take a pay cut, he played horrible last season, and still have turnover/injury issues.

  • Thats using your birdbrain. Lets get rid of all our stars and replace them with 3rd round scrubs. Ok so why dont we start Avant and Cooper as our number 1 & 2 and have foles at QB. You think we win a game?

  • I'm not saying get rid of all our starters... thats dumb. just cut ties with an overpaid guy who's proven to be a turnover machine. with the change in head coach WE ARE REBUILDING why keep vick around for another season as another experiment. dont burden Kelly with having to use him. if vick fails in kellys system next season people are gonna call for his head again... and it will only make kelly look bad.
  • I have not heard a single player, coach, or owner qualify that we are rebuilding. What makes you think we are "rebuilding". What exactly does that mean?
  • it means our team hasn't been good for two season. we fired our most winning head coach. the franchise is obviously going in a new direction. do you really think we don't need to rebuild our qb position or our defense?
  • Frankly, we dont need to tear down and rebuild. I may be the only one in the yard besides brink and gang that think we can compete. Flip posted on another thread lets clear space by getting rid of Patterson, Jenkins and bell. Now I can agree w/bell but the other two vetrans should stay. I mean you are going to get rid of proven vets to replace them with what? Unknowns. Lurie wont do that. It wont happen . in fact i bet jenkins and patterson are both back. my point is the team had a major internal problem from the top on down. The organization cleared out management. They brought in a new management team that should do things differently. But the players will be playing somewhere contributing to some other teams success if we just releasae them. Asante Samuels is agood example of an aging player with talent that can help a team. But I wouldnt put Jenkins and Patterson near the end of their careers. they are just the kind of veterans you need to make deep playoff runs. Where flip is right is that we need a big young DT to put next to Cox and add significant depth. Now you cant tell me that a rotation of Star, Cox, Patterson, Thorton or Dixon wouldnt be formidable. Moving jenkins outside with Graham, curry, & Cole isnt physical? Now at LB we may need some depth and in the secondary we need a top free agent safety. loke how the Ravens got pollard via free agency. After that you keep Nhamdi and Drc or you let one go and add a DB through free agency or the draft. Now you have a starting defense with talent. Tell me what needs a total rebuild? If anything the offense needs more parts but i think the Eagles have to keep more homegrown guys and veteran players for leadership.
  • Why do you ignore the fact that the Eagles HAVE to make some of these moves to get well enough below the cap. Even with their roll over money they would be right at the caps door when they used up their rookie pool...that will not happen. If they use up every single dollar to max out their cap THIS year they will be heading into next year 18 million over...Kelly and Roseman need to make the cuts THIS year so they have a plan moving forward. Besides, new coaches want THEIR type of players here...if you think Kelly goes into this season without making significant changes you are more of a fool than I thought. It's funny, you've called these players out time and time again yet now you state that they will be fine with the coaching changes (and we know NOTHING about most of the coaches) and the draft...you really have no clue, do you hollywood?
  • Of course they are going to make roster moves. all teams do that , but im not sure they have a firesale as some suggest. And if they do it will take that much longer to get better.
  • They need a new quarterback to compete...that is plain and simple. You suggested earlier that Ganggreen thinks they can compete in 2013...I wouldn't be so sure about that. He has been stating that he wants Foles over Vick and he clearly isn't a Foles fan (he's actually hoping the Eagles are somehow able to draft Manziel when he becomes eligible ...how is that thinking they can compete this year?

  • This is just hollywood's setup so he can whine next year if (more like when) the Eagles don't make the playoffs. Is it possible that if the Eagles somehow get a little lucky with their QB situation and some other moves that they find themselves in the playoffs next year...sure it is (Indianapolis did it) but highly unlikely. Look at all the whining hollywood has done for years about the players on this team and now they are good enough to win with a few small changes...what does that tell you?
  • I cant wait to get the season underway and see what happens??? all this rip and tear.....whos the best at what??? how long will kelly last???? what offense should they run or defense??? let the games begin!!!!
