This has been speculation for a while now, but this may be the actual end of the road for Rolando McClain and the Oakland Raiders. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that the team will either trade or release the former first-round pick this offseason after they gave his agent, Patrick Dye the go ahead to start looking for a trade partner. Sources: #Raiders have given permission for LB Rolando McClain's agent to facilitate a trade out of Oakland. If no trade, he'll be released — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 19, 2013 McClain, the 8th overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Alabama, had 246 tackles, 6.5 sacks and one interception, playing in 41 games since coming into the league. He's also had his share of trouble with the law, and behavior issues with the team. Brian McIntyre of Yahoo! Sports writes: 'McClain was arrested in Decatur, Alabama in January of 2011 after allegedly pointing a gun at another man and firing it next to his head. McClain was convicted and sentenced to 180 days in jail, but the charges were dropped upon appeal when the victim would not cooperate with the criminal case. In January of 2013, McClain was again arrested in Decatur, Alabama after giving a false name to police during a traffic stop. In between those arrests, McClain was involved in an argument with head coach Dennis Allen and was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team for two games late in the 2012 season. McClain would not play after he was reinstated and he finished his third season in the NFL with 62 tackles and a sack while playing in 48.11 percent of the team's defensive snaps.
