Brian Calhoun, born in Atlanta, Georgia, was one of the many great running backs to succeed at Wisconsin in the 2000’s. Calhoun attended Oak Creek High School in Wisconsin and starred on the football team with over 5,000 yards and 82 touchdowns. He was named Wisconsin’s Gatorade Player of the Year, a High School All-American, and was labeled a four-star back by Rivals.com. He decided the best opportunity was at the University of Colorado at Boulder, however after his sophomore season he transferred to Wisconsin.  At Boulder he collected 1,124 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns, all five coming as a sophomore. On pace for a breakout season, Calhoun dominated the Big 10 in 2005. In that junior season he bolstered 348 carries for 1,636 yards and a school-record (at the time) 22 touchdowns. Out of the backfield he added 401 receiving yards and two more touchdowns. He was named a Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award Semifinalist as he helped the Badgers to the Capital One Bowl, where he was named MVP after a casual 213-yard performance against Auburn. Despite having one year of eligibility left, Calhoun entered the NFL Draft and was selected in the third round by the Detroit Lions. Unfortunately Calhoun only saw 14 carries in his two seasons, and his career was cut short after a torn ACL. Calhoun is now an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Pittsburgh. -Schotz

ALLEN PARK, Mich. Sure, hes gotten burned by Calvin Johnson. What rookie wouldnt? What human being wouldnt? The guys whose seats are real cool right now, theyre going to be hot...
