ARLINGTON, Texas Texas starter Matt Harrison, who had surgery for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome on his left shoulder in 2009, is scheduled to have the same procedure for his right shoulder Monday. Harrison made just two starts this year for the Rangers because of back problems that led to a pair of surgeries. He said he started having some TOS symptoms on his right side about 2 months ago, experiencing some pain in his neck and collarbone and also losing some strength in his right hand. He said that if he were pitching, he would have waited until after the season to have the procedure but since he's already shut down, he decided to go ahead with it. "I'm kind of fed up with this year," Harrison said. "Why not add to it?" Harrison said the rehab is normally 10-12 weeks but since this procedure is on his non-throwing side, he expects it to be quicker. Dr. Greg Pearl, who performed the TOS surgery on Harrison in 2009, will perform this surgery as well. Harrison said he expects to be ready for spring training. Harrison signed a five year, 55-million deal with the Rangers in the offseason but made just two starts before being shut down because of a herniated disk that led to a pair of surgeries.
