It's amazing what a difference a few weeks makes. The Rangers dropped steadily in the FoxSports.com rankings during a June swoon. But after winning two of three from the Angels and sweeping the Tampa Bay Rays, the Rangers had the biggest move up the power rankings of any team. Texas jumped six spots to land at No. 4, one spot ahead of the Angels.
Here's the writeup beside the Rangers' ranking:
Fans need to do the right thing and get Ian Kinsler on the AL roster.

WhatifSports also does its rankings and has the Rangers 10th, dropping a spot. They say the rankings are based on the site using "its simulation engine to present the most comprehensive and unbiased ranking possible of all 30 teams. Using only their current season statistical performance, each team is simulated against every other 100x's - 50 home & 50 away so that all starters in the current rotation pitch 10x's at each locat...
