A rare Alex Smith turnover has helped the Titans go up 17-13 on the Chiefs.
Titans safety Bernard Pollard intercepted Smith late in the third quarter to swing the momentum fast to the Titans side. Smith overthrew his receiver and the ball fell right into the hands of Pollard.
The Chiefs stopped the Titans twice in the red zone and held them to just one field goal in those two attempts. On the Titans third attempt at 1st and goal however, Ryan Fitzpatrick ran the ball in on third down to put his team up for the first time this game.
Fitzpatrick is filling in for starting quarterback Jake Locker, who will likely miss a month after injuring his hip last week.
