According to John Keim of the Washington Examiner, the Redskins plan on raising ticket prices next season for the first time in seven years.  They’re also going to raise parking prices which are now $40. Leave it to Redskins’ owner Dan Snyder to try to capitalize on a winning season to start raising ticket prices.  He better hope his team gets back to the playoffs next season.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();

ESPN to Air a 25th Anniversary Doug Williams Piece with Robert Griffin III as Narrator

25 years ago today, Doug Williams led the Washington Redskins to a 42-10 Super Bowl victory over the Denver Broncos. For those of us who were too young to remember (or were not alive) to see Doug Williams play for this Redskins, it sounds like Sunday will be a good chance to catch some footage and interviews from the past. According to Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post, ESPN will...

Alfred Morris says RG3 is pushing limits with his rehab

According to Dan Hellie of NBC 4 in Washington D.C., Redskins running back Alfred Morris visited quarterback Robert Griffin III down in Pensacola, Florida and says he’s pushing the limits with his rehab. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing since this is the second time Griffin had to undergo reconstructive surgery to his knee.  Hopefully he doesn’t suffer any setbacks and...

Fred Davis may not have a choice but to re-sign with the Redskins

After tearing his Achilles this past season and the fact that he’s had some off the field problems, Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis may not get the type of free agent offers he’s been hoping for. This will allow the Redskins to make Davis a fair offer that not many other teams will likely give him. At the end of the day, I would be very surprised if Davis is playing...

John Keim of the Washington Examiner assesses the Redskins’ tight end situation as they end into the offseason. According to Keim, Redskins will have to make key decisions on tight ends Fred Davis and Chris Cooley in the coming weeks. The report underscores the Redskins’ need at the tight end position and how the team must re-sign Fred Davis. It would cost the team $6.6 million...

Redskins May Offer CB Josh Wilson New Contract

CSN Washington is reporting that the Redskins CB Josh Wilson could be in line for a new contract this offseason. Wilson will be in the last year of his contract in 2013 and is set to make $3.9 million. He carries a $5.33 million cap hit, so Washington may want to ease some of the pressure pertaining to their salary cap by getting a new deal done with Wilson. It wasn’t a great year...

Redskins raise ticket prices

The Washington Redskins are raising general admission ticket prices for the first time in seven years. The team announced Thursday that most of the seats will increase in price no more than 10 percent. The announcement gave no specific details. It did say that the team's ticket prices ''remain among the most affordable in the NFC East'' - which consists of only...

30 Year Anniversary of the Diesel Running Over The Dolphins

Thirty years ago today the Washington Redskins celebrated their first ever Super Bowl victory. The seminal play of that game was a gutsy fourth down call from coach Joe Gibbs that gave the ball to all-awesome running back John Riggins. Riggins got much more than the first down, the Skins won, and Riggo would go on to party with Supreme Court justices. Many thanks to William World...

What The Washington Redskins need to fill this offseason:

The big question surrounding the Redskins offseason is will RGIII be able to return the next season following his recent injury and surgery? The team also has other holes they need to worry about during this offseason. The first problem is the decision of who should they keep. There are a few players with contracts up including Pro Bowl player Lorenzo Alexander and Rob Jackson, who...

Special Teams Stats Of Danny Smith From Time With The Redskins

The Pittsburgh Steelers named Danny Smith, formerly of the Washington Redskins, as their new special teams coach on Wednesday and a few people have asked if I could post the kickoff and punting stats of Smith during his nine years in Washington in one easy to find place. I have pulled all of the stats in the tables below along with the Steelers stats during that same span of years...
