Jerry Sandusky, Joe Paterno and the scandal that has rocked Penn State is everywhere you look these days, so it was not surprise to see Eagles head coach Andy Reid asked questions about it at Friday's news conference.

“I really don’t know the whole thing, and I’m not sure any of us know the whole thing," said Reid. "I’m not going to sit here and comment on this. It’s not my place to do that and I really haven’t followed it. I have everything I need to do right here to make sure that we’re doing the right things to get ready for this game.”

While the scandal may be nothing more than another story in the paper for Reid as he prepares for a must win game against the Arizona Cardinals, questions had to be answered about his involvement with the Second Mile program, the organization that Sandusky ran.

"I did do a couple events for him and it was a positive experience with the people I was," said Reid, who is also a member of the honorary board- something he was unaware of until Eagles PR man Derrick Boyko told him.

"When you do charity things, they’ll use your name. I think that’s a common thing," said Reid.

Is he still on the list of honorary board members?

"I don't think anybody is on it any longer," said Reid. "“They took everybody’s name off, so everybody’s name had been removed.”

Reid did say that he remembers Sandusky coming to Eagles practices, as his son- Jon Sandusky- was a scout for the Eagles.

"He was Jon’s dad," said Reid on what he can remember of the visits. "He had been a coach, and that’s all I remember about him."

Reid did say he remembers that no kids were with Sandusky during his visits.
