Bengals shock Ravens, win, 17-14, in last minute of game
T he Ravens were penalized three times on the Cincinnati Bengals' game-winning drive, setting up quarterback Carson Palmer's 20-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Andre Caldwell with 22 seconds left in front of 71,161 at M&T Bank Stadium on Oct. 11. It was the Ravens' second straight loss and followed a tough setback to the New England Patriots in which penalties also played a role. The defeat, which came against a team that finished 4-11-1 the previous season, dropped the Ravens into a second-place tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North.
