Appearing on AskMen.com's list of most influential men is an achievement that should not be taken lightly.
With names like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, among others, it's needless to say that appearing on this list is the highest of compliments.
But what does it take to appear on such a list?
Though much of the list is inhabited by brilliant minds, entrepreneurs and political icons, a select few figures in the world of sports found their way into the Top 49. Some obvious, and others you may not have expected.
44. Tim Tebow: Though Tebow hasn't done much since joining the Jets, the quarterback remains a cultural icon due to his positive attitude as well as his devotion to religion and his family. AskMen.com even took the liberty of commenting on the former Bronco's current playing situation. "Though he's now used as a spare part for the Jets, he could get back on the field if Mark Sanchez keeps turning in lackluster performances."

Lawrence Taylor made an appearance on Wednesday's Inside the NFL and he had some unique advice for Jets QB Tim Tebow on how to make it in The Big Apple.
The Tim Tebow saga has been one of the interesting stories in NFL history. When Tebow was drafted by the Broncos in the first round of the 2010, there were questions as to whether he could actually be a successful NFL quarterback. Although he had an agglomeration of collegiate accolades, he lacked the proper technique and mechanics needed to be a starter in the NFL. Many people...

Mark Sanchez had his moments - good and bad - for the Jets. Tim Tebow, too.
But some of the Jets' biggest flaws were on full display in their 23-17 loss to the Houston Texans. They couldn't run the ball, the defense couldn't stop the run and Tebow still isn't running on the field much.
Rex Ryan says the Jets need to get their running game going for the offense to...
Retired NBA star Charles Barkley says reigning MVP, LeBron James, has the potential to be better than the legend that is Michael Jordan. On the season premiere of Open Court, Barkley chats to Kenny Smith about this topic. Check out the video:
At this point the Jets have no answers on offense at all. Tebow or Sanchez? Where’s first round pick from a few years ago in Shonne Greene. Santonio Holmes was their best offensive weapon and he’s done for the season. I think Antonio Cromartie was right when he said he was the second best receiver on the team. He beat Johnathan Joseph badly on a stop and go route on Monday...
Ray Allen will look to adjust to being “too” open from three.
When you play with guys at the level of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, your life as a teammate suddenly gets just a bit easier. Other teams are focusing on the studs, and sometimes drift away from their defensive assignments, creating good, open shots for the other players on the floor.
Heck, LeBron James...
