The 49ers worked out former Colts wide receiver Austin Collie not too long ago and remain interested in signing him, according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee. The 49ers remain interested in former Colt Austin Collie, but they are unlikely to make a move on the free-agent wide receiver until after training camp begins, a source close to the situation said this week. Before they do anything, the Colts want to see what their young receivers can do in training camp. One of the team’s top priorities this summer will be to see if any of their young and inexperienced wideouts perform well enough to warrant significant snaps when the regular season begins. If none elevates his game, an inexpensive veteran like Collie would be of interest. Collie would be a great addition, but the question is can he play a few games without suffering another concussion.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading...
