Boston University is reportedly set to introduce its new men’s hockey coach.
According to WHDH’s Joe Amorosino, Terriers associate head coach David Quinn will be announced as the team’s next head coach Tuesday, replacing longtime BU boss Jack Parker.

Like Parker, who officially ended his 40-year career with a 1-0 loss to UMass Lowell in Saturday’s Hockey East championship game, Quinn played at BU before joining the coaching staff, earning All-Hockey East and All-New England honors as a defenseman and serving as a co-captain as a senior in 1987-88. He was selected 13th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in 1984 but never played in an NHL game.
Quinn takes over the head coaching job after five years on Parker’s staff and two years as head coach of the U.S. National Under-17 Team.
