It’s going to be a wild summer at America’s Most Beloved Ballpark. Not only are John Farrell‘s Red Sox looking to turn things around after a disappointing 2012, but the Fens is hosting some of the biggest acts in the music industry, as both Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake will reportedly be coming to Fenway this summer, according to the Boston Herald. “The Red Sox went to City Hall [Wednesday] asking for concert permits for Aug. 10 and 11 when the team is in Kansas City to play the Royals, the Herald reports. “Although the Sox didn’t specify the musical act, we’re told it’s the blockbuster combo of Timberlake, who hasn’t toured in six years, and the hip-hop giant.” “I expect Jay-Z will make a spectacle in Boston, but I’m sure he won’t bring Derek Jeter up on stage,” Donnie Wahlberg, who played at Fenway in 2011, told the Herald. Country music star Jason Aldean is already slated to play two nights at Fenway in July.
