Beyond The Buzzer:
According to Marc Stein, the Los Angeles Lakers are considering signing point guard Delonte West, who previously played for Dallas, to ease their point guard crisis.
No firm decisions made yet but Lakers, I’m told, ARE weighing pros and cons of creating roster spot to sign Delonte West to ease PG crisis

BEST OF MAXIM
The Los Angeles Lakers are crumbling. The primary response to their recent addiction to losing is that they are waiting on point guard Steve Nash to return from injury to get the party started.
New coach Mike D’Antoni’s system has flourished in the past with Nash at the helm.
Cutting to the chase, it’s going to be some time before Nash returns according to his recent comments...
CLEVELAND -- Lakers power forward Pau Gasol will sit out Tuesday's game against Cleveland, missing his fifth consecutive game because of knee tendinitis.
The Lakers are 1-3 without Gasol, including a home loss Sunday to Utah.
Cleveland is a woeful 4-17, but the Lakers (9-12) can't take anybody lightly, especially with their unimpressive 2-6 road record.
Gasol played all...
The Los Angeles Lakers are struggling mightily. They have lost eight of their last 11 games and look to be getting worse by the day — particularly on defense late in games. Pau Gasol has been sidelined with a knee injury and has missed the last five games. Four of those have been losses, and Magic Johnson believes the absence of Gasol has been a major factor. “Gasol, to me, is...
ALL ABOUT ALL-STAR GAME
Check out Dwight Howard in this Public Service Announcement from The Center Center for Centers, on The NOC sports entertainment channel. In a new change to this year's NBA all-star ballot voting, the center position has been taken off the ballot; and now people are simply voting amongst all available big men to fill the three "frontcourt" positions. Ironically, perhaps...
The Lakers are 9-13 and look like trash on defense. We know the Lakers are currently without Pau Gasol and Steve Nash but is Nash really going to save the season? At a little over 20 games into the NBA season, almost a quarter of the way in, it might be time to hit the [...]
When the Los Angeles Lakers arrived in Cleveland, it was familiar ground to Antawn Jamison. The veteran forward returned to Cleveland for the first time since leaving as a free agent this past summer, but it wasn’t Quicken Loans Arena that gave him the chills — it was the bitter December Cleveland weather that smacked him in the face when he got off of the team plane.
O.J. Mayo scored 19 points and the Dallas Mavericks took control with a 31-3 run in the first half to win their 17th straight regular-season home game against Sacramento with a 119-96 victory over the Kings on Monday night.
Chris Kaman, playing on a sprained left ankle he suffered last week, scored 16 of his 18 points in the first half and reserve Darren Collison added 15 points...
Life is not all well and good in Lakerland. Reporters are asking tough questions about defense that the head coach can't answer because well, Mike D'Antoni has never been able to answer that question. Few knew this move would not work out because we see the real problems with the Lakers (defense) opposed to the fantasies by company men and fans who think the problems...
Mark Cuban spoke to reporters before his Mavericks face the Celtics on ESPN Wednesday night. Here’s just a sample of the long conversation between CLNS Radio’s Jared Weiss, CelticsBlog’s Jimmy Toscano and couple other reporters. Weiss: How does the NHL’s situation compare to the NBA’s last year? “They’re both ************, there’s no good way [...]
