Found October 22, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
Josina Anderson of ESPN reports that a source has informed her that the New England Patriots are signing veteran DE Andre Carter. Carter, 34, was released by the Raiders back in August after playing 13 games for them. In 2011, he tallied 10 sacks for the Patriots defense, so he’s at least familiar with their defensive scheme. As of now, New England has Chandler Jones, Rob Ninkovich, Jake Bequette and rookie Michael Buchanan on their roster at the defensive end position, so we’ll have to see the Pats intend to get him involved at the expense of either Bequette or Buchanan’s playing time.
